3D and space planning of our home

As you all know, from my previous post KD & I are doing our home renovation. Since this process is so looong and tiring, I feel, it is rewarding. During this process, surprisingly, KD & I are in same page for my major decision taking moments. I really want to keep our grand room/living room as it is. That's one of the reason I fall in love with this space. KD agreed on my first instict and here we are with our space planning!

Another thing, I was obsessed with bar. I really want some area where we can serve/make drinks for our guests. I like to have nice wine fridge where we can share the precious wines.

Here is the sneak peak of our 3D:

Bathroom Design Tips

chastity-cortijo-604621-unsplash.jpg

After kitchen I feel bathroom is one of those thing where I feel bit possessive about my style and designs. As a designer and creative individual I feel that Kitchen is where you reflect your personality to outside world by entertaining them while bathrooms are the reflection of  your personal care and comfort. I always feel, if I have desired kitchen arrangement/situation and spa like bathroom I will be happiest person to enjoy the home.

Today, I would like to share some tips or I would say few words on what makes perfect bathroom!

So here there are:

1) Ventilation and arrangement of the bathroom functions

Big windows in bathroom are great but at the same time, since it is very personal space, I would like to keep it more secluded.  It is extremely necessary for me to have bathroom functions like bath tubs or bathroom sink are located nearby.

2)  Use some unique materials (ps. I am obssesed with wood tiled ceramic tiles )

There is something really very unique and pleasing about carrying wood from inside to outside. Ceramic tiles are perfect way to enhance bathrooms. It is affordable, chic and easy to install.

3) Add some spa elements to your bathroom

I feel there is always room for decorative tray in your bathroom. Whether it is your bathroom vanity, bathtub or some decorative stool in corner of your bathroom.  Also, adding natural elements such as natural flowers, scented candles or natural air diffuser can be big plus in any design.

I think this is not the comprehensive list as an interior decorator but in my personal journey to bathroom remodels bring me these three quint essential list of tips.

What do you think your first 3 essential things in bathroom?

Persian/Vintage Rug in Bathroom

If you are in the mode of renovating/googling and identifying new trends in terms of bathroom, you must have seen so many bathrooms with Vintage rugs. Today, I am splurging on one of the most inspirational pictures on Vintage Rugs in the bathroom. As an Indian, I always get fascinated towards Kashmiri styled handwoven rugs but since we are talking about bathroom, and there will be lots of wear & tear. I decided to pick something which can look clean by vacuum pretty easily such as vintage Kilm.

I strongly believe that with a great way to change the tone of any bathroom without doing any renovations  or breaking your bank - it is to add bright and vibrant  persian rug. This blog post is all about my vintage rug inspirations and some of the links where I guess  You can see how really any bathroom can benefit from a bright and vibrant vintage rug.

It's all about Bathrooms this month!

nick-karvounis-592488-unsplash.jpg

Bathroom and Kitchen are the most integral part of any home. If your home has updated kitchen and nicely done bathroom, you will be able to enjoy your home more. These two areas in the home, I personally want them to operate and look according to my lifestyle and whenever I talk to my clients, they support this all the time.  When KD and I bought this home, I loved the space but I hate kitchen and specially bathroom. It was all pink floor to ceiling ugly pink ceramic tiles. Even though it was guest bathroom, I would hate them so much, I don't want our guests see this ugly part.

Today, I would like to share my thoughts on what bathroom means for me and how I came up  with the interior design style. As you know by now, looking at my previous blogpost, I love crisp white look. I think it is calm and relaxing. In bathroom, I seek for these two elements. We decide to renovate adding minimalist approach  with farmhouse elements.  Subway tile, nice ancient looking small tiles and adding white vanity for storage will be the key.  By end of this month we will show you all, 3D of the bathrooms!

Green Plants Home Decor Ideas

brooke-lark-609899-unsplash.jpg

I am not one of those plant lady where adding green is no. 1 thing in my home interiors project but I do believe that green plans adds calmness and relax mood to the surrounding. Being home decorist and enthusiastic myself, I always fail to keep these plants in the best decorative form. As our home renovation is going to end soon, it would be good time to consult my instincts and find out types of planters

1) Use Bamboo Baskets or overhanging planter to keep indoor plants in different dimensions.

2) Use Concrete planters (soon to be in our shop)

Concrete is new trend of year 2018. I will be adding few concrete planters in our shop and it will give good modern vibe.

3) Ceramic/Wood Vase as Planter

4) Airplants

Airplants are new way to add green in to your interior space and it is known for air purifier. I can't wait to show our new project where we added air plants in entire wall.

What do you think about adding plants with different home decor items?
